Is it hard to believe you can lose weight on vacation?
You’re probably thinking (paired with a cynical eye roll): No way, it’s just not possible.
Why is it so hard to keep your fitness goals on vacation? Maybe it’s the endless buffet line, the abundance of new foods to try, or the simple fact that you’re out of routine. Whatever it is, being on vacation can feel like your fitness goal’s WORST ENEMY.
To make matters worse, once you get off track on vacation with your healthy eating, the shame cycle rears its ugly head to knock you further off track. You say things like: “Well, I already blew this meal, so why not just eat whatever I want for the rest of the day.” Then the day becomes the whole week you’re on vacation.
Has this happened to you before? It’s happened to me.
One question I started to ask myself after repeating this pattern on vacation is: Do I want to feel WORSE physically when I get home from vacation OR do I want to come home feeling relaxed, refreshed, and light?
That’s a pretty easy answer, right? But it’s easier said than done.
