You all know by now that my mom didn’t take charge of her health until she was 59 years old and look at her now! She lost 32 pounds by the time she was 62, and not only has she kept the weight off, she feels better than she’s ever felt before.
Recently, a great friend of mine, online trainer Dave Smith of Make Your Body Work , featured my mom as a guest on his podcast where they discussed getting in shape when you’re older.
I just love his introduction to the episode.
He says, “Are you feeling past your prime, with no hope of making any positive health changes? Have you resigned to simply “holding on” to whatever you have left?
Stop it! Positive change, whether it be physical, mental or emotional is possible at any age.”
Yesss! These are the words my mom and I live by at CKDM. So, if you didn’t hear it before, I’ll say it again: You’re never too old to get in shape.
